"CLEMENTINE" is a Darling of a Bunny
Like the song
says...Clementine is a darling. She is such a Sweet
Bunny... covered in a wonderful Vintage Blond Raccoon Fur with
charming accents of White Hare Nose, Inner Ears and of course
her cute Bunny Cotton Tail. She has striking Green German Glass
Eyes, a cute Pink Bunny Nose, fun little Whiskers and soft Satin
Paw Pads. Clementine is soft and cuddly however, due
to her big floppy ears, she is somewhat of a Heavy Bunny as she
has added pellets in her tummy to help keep her from toppling
over. Because she was born in the spring, she opted for a fun
bright pink and white polka-dot ribbon for
around her neck and of course what kind of a bunny would she be
without her Easter Basket ...She stands at approx: 14" and
sits at 9 1/2" (not including her big ears) Clementine is the perfect Bunny for all of you Bunny Lovers

A personal note from
Cindy:
I love animals ! (we have
9 indoor cats of our own, as well as, all the neighborhood squirrels
& birds that come by for a treat). I do not
support killing animals to make clothing.
The furs I use come from old
vintage coats and stoles that were very 'trendy' at the
time, which Mom or Grandma wore years ago. Many of these furs are
now stored in the back of a closet
, or abandoned, never
to be used as outer wear again. I think it's sad that these Little
Animals gave up their life for 'clothes', and that they are now just relegated
to a wasteful , unused old memory. I have chosen this
Craft to give these beautiful old furs another 'new life ', so that they
can hopefully last forever. I also am very close with my Family and know
what it's like to lose a Loved One...Making a bear out of your Mother's or
Grandma's old fur gives your family something to
cherish for another lifetime. I
LOVE Teddy Bears and when they are made from wonderful old furs,
they turn out so beautiful that it makes my hobby incredibly fulfilling.
I hope you enjoy my Teddy Bears and Bunnies as much as I do creating
them.

Featured Below
are 'some' of the Teddy Bears I have made for people out of their
furs..

This Beautiful Large Teddy Bear was made for a local fellow that wanted to do
Something Special for his Lady Friend...He had purchased the antique mink stole many
years ago and thought that something should be done with it, so he brought it to me
and told me about this wonderful Lady that he wanted a Teddy Bear made for...I
could see the love in his eyes as he talked about her...I fell a little bit in
love with him that day as he was so sweet and kind... he brought her here
to pick up this "little surprise" and I got to see the pride in his eyes when he
handed her this Big Beautiful Teddy Bear... I smiled for a week every time I
thought of them...What a great love match they made... They were both very happy
with the Teddy Bear and I think it will live happily ever after with this
charming couple...
Thanks so much...Henry

When Janet first contacted me about her mom's two
mink stoles, she was interested in having two Teddy Bears made for her mom's two
Great Grand Daughters...after the furs arrived I let her know there was plenty
of fur to make three nice size bears, so she decided on having a third one to
keep for herself...I was able to put her Mom's name and the makers tags on the
paw pads. I also put the beautiful embroidered flowers that were on the
lining of one of the stoles on the ribbon around the neck of her Teddy Bear.
She was very happy with them I think...she wrote me this note:
"I got my bears yesterday and they are sooo adorable! I cannot
thank you enough for helping to keep a bit of my Mom here with us. I
know the girls will love theirs. Have to show them off a bit before I mail
them out..."
Thanks again,
Janet M.

I don't often get lucky enough for the Man who
inherited a family members fur to think about having a Teddy Bear made from
it...John inherited his Grand Mothers furs and remembered seeing Teddy Bears
made from furs, so looked into having one or two made from his Grand Mothers
furs. He decided on the Vintage Style Teddy Bears and I think he made a
wonderful choice as these two, very big ,Teddy Bears turned out beautifully from
his furs. I was able to put his Grand Mothers name from the lining on a
paw pad as well as the Makers tags from each coat on another paw pad which I
always think makes them extra special...I think he was happy with them as
well... here is his note to me:
"The bears arrived and they are beautiful. Thank you for all your
efforts, and for making it such a pleasure. I will be keeping "Bess" and
passing the other one to my 1st cousin who will appreciate it as well.
What a talented person you are". Sincerely,
John B.

Clare's mom has a couple of furs that she no longer wears so Clare
thought it would be nice to make Teddy Bears for the Grand and Great
Grandkids...as they all had different looks, we decided to make each Teddy Bear
have a different look as well...here is what Clare said when her Teddy Bear
Family arrived home:
"They are adorable. I love them all.
They are taking their first trip to Cape Cod so I can show them off to some of
my friends. Will send you pictures. Thank you so much",
Clare

I was lucky enough o get to meet Gretchen and her
family in person. They live close enough that it was possible for them to
bring me her moms beautiful mink fur, so that we could discuss all the details
while they were here...when I finished this beautiful teddy, I mail it to her
and here is a portion of the note she sent me when "Toady" arrived on her
doorstep:
"OMG!!! I got the bear today and I can't begin to tell you how
absolutely thrilled I am with "her". Her new name is "Toady" as that was
my Mother's nickname when she was young. And her brothers still called her
that until she passed away. I can't wait to show Toady to all my friends
and family. You are a very special person and a terrifically talented
Artist and it must be such a pleasure to be able to share the talent to make
people smile. :) I am so pleased you've touched my life and I wish you the
best!! Thanks again. with much appreciation and sincere gratitude,"
Gretchen C.
I love when I can make something that brings this much joy to a
family...thank you Gretchen for trusting me with your mom's beautiful fur...

MaryAnn had some furs of her moms and aunts that she wanted family
heirlooms made from...I think they turned out really cute and I think she was
happy with them as well...she wrote me this note when she got them:
"The Bears and Bunny are so cute. Everyone
who sees them, loves them."
Thank you,
Maryann

Beaver is one of my favorite furs and this cute
Teddy Bear turned out to be so special for Diane, as she missed her mom so
much...here is her letter to me:
"I LOVE my bear! She is all that I was expecting, plus more. You
did a beautiful job. I miss my mother so much, so it is a special way to
be with her everyday. The bear sits on my bed and looks beautiful on my
gold satin bedspread. I greatly appreciate the special care and love that
went into my bear. Please know how much I appreciate you and the beautiful
work that you do".
Diane C.

This order was quite a challenge for me...I am usually very busy just
before Christmas with all the usual; decorating, baking, Art Shows, Cookie
Parties, homemade gifts for my Kids and Grand Kids, gift shopping,
etc...WELL...I get a call from a very nice guy just before Thanksgiving asking
me if I could make SIX Teddy Bears from his Moms fur coat... and if possible
could I have them finished before Christmas, as he wanted to give them to his
six sisters as gifts as their Mom passed and he thought it would be something
they would love...being a softy for family, I agreed as long as he got me the
fur right away...(I was just finishing up five Bears and a Bunny for other
customers... yikes) to say I spent every waking hour to get these beauties
finished in time is an understatement... I am not sure I would ever do it again,
but he and his Sisters were all so happy that it made it all worth the long
hours...he said one of his Sisters slept with her bear as it made her feel like
her Mom was next to her... I love my craft... :)
Hendricks Motorsports Dealership

These four beautiful Teddy Bears were made from this customer's Grandmas fur
coat...as you can see, her Grandma loved jewelry so each of these pretty girls
are wearing her own little necklace or special ribbon. Kathy wanted to
share this part of her grandmas past with her siblings and I think they were
very happy...here is what she said when she received her bears:
"The bears are beautiful!!!! I can't wait to give
the bears to my siblings. I am making bear 'runs' today. I can't wait to
give the bears to them...Thank you again",
Kathy H.
a follow up letter said:
"I still have one sister to give the bear to. I didn't want to tell
her about it. My other sister and brother loved them!!! My sister
called me and told me she found the PERFECT spot for hers. She put hers on
her bed. This way she has to make her bed (HA!) and, it reminds her of her
three favorite people. Our Grandmother, our Mother, and Me. That
made it all worth while!!! I brought my bear into work and showed
everyone. They loved her and thought that it was a fantastic idea
to make them. Thank you again. I really do think you are an
incredible artist.
Each bear has their own little thing".
I am so happy I could make these special little
girls for this family
.............A
- Pair completed, ready to go home
B
- Sylvia and her Mom.
C
- Settled into their new home
This
pair of Teddy Bears were made from a Mouton coat that belonged
to this customers Mom...She and her Mom were very close and the
personal story she sent me about her Mom made me cry...it was lovely. Here
is a portion of the note she wrote to me when her 'babies' arrived home:
"The Bears were waiting
for me on the porch when I got home from work! I just absolutely
love them. You did a fantastic job. They have already been to
the neighbors this evening. Thank you so much", Sylvia H.
These
little bears are World Travelers...here they are headed to Japan to live
in their new home.
"Domo Arrigato...Cindy"
This sweet little
Teddy Bear was made from this customers Mom's mink stole. She
wanted to surprise her Mom for Christmas with this cute little
guy and I think they were both very happy. This is what she wrote
to me when she received him:
"She arrived
today...she is wonderful, I just love her and I know that my Mom
will too. Thanks again for putting so much into her and caring
to get her just right, I think you did that!!" Janis
By the way, her
Mom does love her Teddy Bear but decided it was a little boy bear...I
love it when my customers pick out their bears gender and name...
This beautiful
little Bunny was made from this customers Saga Fox coat and I
added white hare fur for the nose, inside of the ears, and bottom
of the tail to give her a cotton tail look. I had a very hard
time giving this wonderful Bunny to her mom as I fell in love
with her instantly...I think her Mom loved her also....here is
what she said when her bunny arrived:
"Bunny Girl" arrived today and she is soooo precious! I can't wait
for Lyndsey to get her....and you did such a personal job. Thank
you so much", Val
She
was giving this bunny to her Grand Daughter for Easter...what
a wonderful family heirloom to pass down.
Bunnies have
been a hit lately and this one was a show stopper every time a
customer came into our museum. She was contracted from a fellow
that wanted to give his wife a special Easter gift from her old
fur coat. He sent me this beautiful Hare coat and again I added
my white Hare to it's nose, inside ears and bottom of it's tail...what
a soft sweet girl she became. Her new parents loved her too...Jim
wrote:
"I received it today and it looks
great, I know she will love it. Thanks for getting it done so
quickly, it will make a great Easter gift. Thanks again".
Jim
I think he wanted to let his wife
decide on it's gender...I thought it looked like a girl but I will wait to see
what it's mom thinks...
Sometimes a customer
sends me a fur that is in really bad shape and I do my best to
create their heirloom with it...I know how much these old coats
and stoles mean to a family. This mink stole was in very bad shape
as well as dried out, so I was concerned that I could get enough
fur to make a Teddy Bear for this customer...after conditioning
it for a week to soften the hide, I was lucky enough to make her
a cute little Bear (about 11 inches standing up). This customer
was happy that I could salvage her old fur, she said:
"She is here! Beautiful job Cindy and I thank you
so much".
Joan
My third Bunny
in a month...This precious girl was a first for me...I usually
make bunnies out of longer fur so was unsure of how she would
look with her short Hare fur. I discussed the option of adding
longer fur for the nose and bottom of the tail with my customer
and she thought that was a great idea...I think this cute Bunny
will be loved by her family for many years.
